Our learning platform LONA Education has once again been awarded the Learning Apps seal of approval by the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research – this time for our Cyber Security package.

The learning apps seal of approval

The Learning Apps Seal of Approval is a seal of approval from the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research (BMBWF) for digital and mobile learning applications. Only learning apps that are available in both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store with the same content and functions can be submitted. Learning apps can be submitted either directly by app developers or through recommendations from teachers, students, parents and interested parties.

The learning applications are used, tested and evaluated by three evaluators in the classroom. Student feedback is included as descriptive information

If the evaluation is positive, app developers will receive a certificate that is valid for two years. Regardless of the outcome, all learning app developers will receive an evaluation report with all results.

Our learning app is award-winning

We submitted the ‘Cyber Security’ package for our online learning platform LONA Education. Like last year’s ‘Economy’ package, this one has been certified and thus meets the external quality requirements of the Digital School project. This means that two LONA Education packages have now been certified with the Quality Seal.

About the “Cyber Security” package

LONA Education’s ‘Cyber Security’ package teaches the most important basics of IT security and network technology, as well as various concepts for protecting your own device. It also provides practical knowledge in the areas of penetration testing, digital forensics and defence against a step-by-step cyber-attack, which are essential skills for IT managers.

Seal of approval for learning apps for LONA Education

At bit media education solutions, we have always known that our learning platforms – both digi.skills (which received the seal of approval last year) and LONA Education, which received its second award this year – form a solid foundation for digital schools. We are delighted that our learning packages meet the quality requirements of the BMBWF!
