Gemeinnütziges Weihnachten bei bit media education solutions GmbH

A few years ago, the management of bit media education solutions GmbH decided to forgo Christmas gifts for customers and instead support charitable organizations. This year, the desire to do something and get involved instead of “just donating money” was great.

For this reason, the management of bit media education solutions and the holding company eee group decided to support the non-profit organization “wünsch mir was – ehrenamtlicher Verein zur Erfüllung familiärer (Herzens-) Wünsche” with its annual Christmas campaign.

Fulfilling and realizing wishes

In the annual Christmas campaign organized by the “wünsch mir was” association, helpers take on the role of the Christ Child. Each volunteer receives a wish list from a child whose parents cannot afford Christmas presents. In cooperation with various large associations – such as Herzkinder Österreich, Jojo Salzburg and Rainbows Steiermark – more than 250 children will receive gifts at Christmas and their families will be relieved at the same time. The association’s credo is clear: to fulfill wishes and make children’s eyes light up.

Last year, 263 children received presents, and this year, according to the association, the number will reach 280.

The wish lists

Our company and the eee group received the following wishes from the association, which had to be realized:

  • “Hasbro Simon game” for an 8-year-old boy
  • “The big golden Disney book” for a 10-year-old girl
  • “Activity Junior” for a 7-year-old boy
  • “Hasbro Gaming Tabu Junior” for a 9-year-old girl

The marketing team and our sales employee Denise set off on December 1st to get the presents, wrap them and hand them over to the team of “wünsch mir was”.

The entire bit media education solutions team is delighted to be actively involved in something big and good and looks forward to more Secret Santa moments in the future.

About the association “wünsch mir was”

The association “wünsch mir was – ehrenamtlicher Verein zur Erfüllung familiärer (Herzens-) Wünsche” was founded in 2021 by the sisters Tatjana and Tamara to support families in financial need and to make children’s eyes light up. Especially at Christmas, it breaks their hearts when children don’t find presents under the tree. To counteract this, the “wünsch mir was” Christmas campaign was launched in 2014 and has been an official activity of the association since 2021.

Verein "wünsch mir was - ehrenamtlicher Verein zur Erfüllung familiärer (Herzens-)wünsche"

For the association, which currently has eight members, it is important that the people who want to help are involved in the entire process. The USP of the campaign is both the involvement of the volunteers (buying, wrapping and delivering the gifts) and the personal touch. In addition to the wish from the wish list, all helpers receive the first name and age of the child (GDPR compliant and not assignable, of course). This way, each helper can imagine the child receiving the gift and does not go shopping for “unknowns”.

Our marketing employee Tamara is a co-founder of the organization and therefore our direct contact person. We are happy to support the association and its activities and to have such dedicated employees in our company.
